Charlotte CPA
A Charlotte CPA or Charlotte Certified Public Accountant is the title of qualified accountants in the US who have passed the UCPAE Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination, and have also met additional state requirements with education to receive the CPA certification. Those who have passed the UCPAE Exam but do not have the required on the job experience or have a lapsed continuing education are called CPA Inactive in many states. In most of the US States, CPAs who are licensed can provide public attestation or auditing opinions on financial statements. States such as Arizona, North Carolina, Ohio, and Kansas where the CPA designation is restricted, the auditing practice is not.
A lot of US States have a lower title or tier of a accountant which is also known as Public Accountant with letters “PA”. There are currently only 10 states that continue to offer this designation although most US states have closed this. Most of these PAs belong to the NSPA National Society of Public Accountants.
Out of state CPAs are restricted from using the designation of a CPA or designation letters until they have obtained a license or certificate from that state.
